Arran deck saloon and aft deck Loch Fyne

A 3-night cruise is a great way to be introduced to this wonderful part of Scotland and have a short break from the pressures of daily life.  Set off from Portavadie and explore the sheltered waters of Loch Fyne, one of the longest and most scenic sea lochs in Europe, with a stunning coastline.  Cruise out into the more open waters of the Sound of Bute and, given good weather conditions head for the stunning Island of Arran with the tiny and idyllic Holy Island just off shore.  Return to Holy Loch by the Kyles of Bute, with remote anchorages and lots of wildlife to spot.

Cruise highlights may include:

  • Sail down Loch Fyne to the spectacular Isle of Arran
  • Stop over at Lochranza to visit the excellent Arran Distillery
  • Cruise the east of the island to Lamlash. The boat tender can take guests ashore to the village for a walk or we can arrange for a visit to Holy Island which has a fascinating history
  • Visit Brodick Castle and its gardens, buy locally-made cheeses, beer and aromatics and walk to Brodick
  • Head north to the Cumbraes for a brief stop at Millport where cycling or golfing are options
  • Sail up the East Kyle towards the sheltered anchorage off Colintraive
  • Disembark at Holy Loch on the Friday at 11am

Pick-up is at 3pm at Holy Loch if arriving by car or train, for transport to Portavadie
