Isles of the Clyde and the Southern Hebrides: 6-night cruise departing October 20th

Setting off from Oban on Saturday 20th October 2018 this special homeward bound cruise follows the twelfth century sea route of the "Lords of the Isles" passing Loch Sween, Gigha, Jura and Islay.  The many inlets and sea lochs are perfect for dropping anchor while the Gulf of Corryvreckan is one of nature's wonders and a must see for all guests.  After rounding the Mull of Kintyre the first anchorage may be at the peaceful whisky famed Campbeltown where guests like to go ashore to explore South Kintyre, Scotland's hidden gem.  Lochranza on Arran is another popular anchorage with its dramatic castle, craggy mountains and excellent distillery. The Isles of the Clyde are spectacular in Autumn and as the boat cruises through the stunning Kyles of Bute watch out for wildlife enroute to remote Loch Riddon. Loch Fyne is the gateway to the Highlands and Islands and hosts some of the best sailing waters in the west coast of Scotland.  There is a good chance of spotting red deer rutting in the hills above Inveraray, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll.  A recent guest commented on the magnificent coastal scenery as a major highlight but the best was to be welcomed into Holy Loch Marina by owner Andy Thoms playing the bagpipes! A true Highland welcome!
