The new series of Coast features The Majestic Line

We are great fans of the BBC series “Coast”, especially as exploring coastlines is what we do!  So we were truly delighted to be invited to be involved in the new series – series 11 – which is promoted as the ultimate guide to the coast of Britain.  This series has a new perspective on the coast, providing all the information needed to enjoy the British coastline like a local.  In particular this series was seeking out local charismatic characters and Neil Oliver was filmed chatting to Majestic Line owner Andy Thoms - all who have met Andy will indeed agree he is a unique individual!

Neil Oliver and the BBC Coast film and presenting crew came on board the Glen Massan on June 14th this year while cruising off the coast of Mull. It was lovely weather for their trip from Ulva to Staffa & Fingal's Cave, past Iona to Loch Scridain. The Glen Massan is featured on the introduction of all editions of the series - catch it on iplayer here!  http://bbc.in/2d9RNG2 . Neil's cruise with the Majestic Line is featured in Episode 6 “Scotland’s Western Isles” on October 26th - don’t miss it!

Series producer Sally Dyas seemed to think the Coast team enjoyed their time onboard, in particular the food served up by Chef Gordon. She said

“Just a brief note to thank you and all the team involved with the Majestic Line and specifically the crew on board the Glen Massan for the superb way they looked after us while we were on board filming for Coast. Thanks too to Andy for sparing his time to do the interview. It was a glorious day and a brilliant way to showcase the region. The boat is a wonderful way to tour the area and Neil was particularly taken with the vessel. We got some great shots and it was an added bonus to detour to Staffa to take advantage of the very favourable weather. Please can you pass on our thanks to all those concerned. The crew were fantastic and the lunch provided was truly memorable!!”
